I decided I'd do my audiostory on D&D culture, given my own recent interest in the game. I found a new group of players with little experience, and recorded them playing one night. I attempted to interview one of them, but none of the others would shut up long enough for a decent interview so I was forced to interview Justin Gwin, the "party leader," after the session ended. Because of this I have very little sounds working in the background while Justin speaks, though I have inserted cuts of the group playing between his statements.
I started playing Dungeons and Dragons while I was a middle schooler, two editions in the past. The game has changed so much, I was surprised to see what was different about it, and even more surprised to see how well these new players (all new, not a single one had any experience) were adapting.
